The proper fiscal officers of the city are authorized and directed to make all required payments into the contribution fund established by law, and to establish such systems of payroll deductions from the salaries of employees and officers as may be or become necessary to keep the system of coverage in continuous operation and to do all things necessary to the continued implementation of the system.
