A. The city engineer may, in writing, suspend or revoke a permit issued under the provisions of this chapter for any of the following reasons:

1. Whenever the permit was issued in error or on the basis of incorrect information supplied;

2. Whenever the work does not proceed in accordance with the plans as approved, or conditions of approval;

3. Whenever, in the judgment of the city engineer, the work is not being performed in compliance with the requirements of this chapter, or other city ordinances or state or federal law;

4. Whenever the city has been denied reasonable access to investigate and permitted work is proceeding;

5. Whenever any excavation or fill endangers or may reasonably be expected to endanger the public, the adjoining property or street, or utilities in street.

B. Upon suspension or revocation of a permit, all work in the right-of-way shall cease, except as authorized or directed by the city engineer. (Ord. 1014, 1993)
