A. Small Animals.

1. Up to four small animals may be kept accessory to each business establishment or dwelling unit on a lot. In no case may more than one of the four be a miniature potbelly pig.

2. Up to six small animals are permitted on lots of at least fifteen thousand square feet.

3. One additional small animal is permitted for each five thousand square feet of lot area in excess of fifteen thousand square feet.

4. Structures housing small animals must be located at least ten feet away from any structure that includes a dwelling unit on an adjacent lot.

B. Domestic Fowl.

1. Up to eight domestic fowl may be kept on any lot in addition to the small animals permitted in subsection (A) of this section.

2. One additional fowl is permitted for every one thousand square feet of lot area over ten thousand square feet.

3. Structures housing domestic fowl must be located at least ten feet from any structure that includes a dwelling unit on an adjacent lot.

C. Farm Animals.

1. Farm animals are only allowed on lots of at least twenty thousand square feet.

2. One farm animal for every ten thousand square feet of lot area is permitted.

3. Farm animals and structures housing them must be kept at least fifty feet away from any structure that includes a dwelling unit on an adjacent lot.

D. Beekeeping.

1. Beekeeping is permitted when registered with the State Department of Agriculture.

2. No more than four hives, each with only one swarm, are allowed on lots of not less than ten thousand square feet.

3. Hives shall not be located within twenty-five feet of any lot lines except when situated eight feet or more above the grade immediately adjacent to the grade of the lot on which the hives are located or when situated less than eight feet above the adjacent existing lot grade and behind a solid fence or hedge six feet high parallel to any lot line within twenty-five feet of a hive and extending at least twenty feet beyond the hive in both directions.
