Landscaping is an important element of overall site design and shall be designed to preserve the aesthetic character of the community, improve the aesthetic quality of the built environment, promote retention and protection of existing vegetation, and reduce the impacts of development on storm drainage systems and natural habitats. The landscape standards in this chapter are minimum requirements. The city encourages thoughtful consideration of how additional trees, shrubs, and plants can enhance a property and increase its value and beauty. (Ord. 005/2019 § 10 (Exh. B))
