A. The municipal judge shall be appointed by the mayor for a term of four years, subject to the confirmation by the city council. The first judicial appointment to the position of municipal judge will be for the initial unexpired remainder of a four-year term established by RCW 3.50.040, commencing January 1, 2015, and expiring December 31, 2017.
