15.15.120 High-intensity, special-purpose lighting.

This section contains special requirements for intense, special-purpose lighting such as lasers and searchlights. The following lighting systems are prohibited from being installed or used except by conditional lighting permit, which shall not be granted for any reason in the R-4, MR 6,000, UR 6,000, UR 9,600 and SR 15,000 zones:
A. Aerial lasers.
B. Searchlight style lights.
C. Other very intense lighting, defined as having a light source exceeding two hundred thousand lumens of intensity in any direction. (Ord. 032/2007 § 1)
