Should any customer use any such connection for purposes other than fire protection during an actual fire or for immediate protection from an existing fire, the customer may be punished, upon conviction thereof, by a fine of not more than five thousand dollars or imprisonment in jail for not more than one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
