In addition to existing ordinances providing for speed zones, quiet zones, parking regulations and general restrictions, prohibitions and limitations, the city engineer or any other person authorized by official action of the city council shall cause signs to be posted or curbs to be painted for the regulation and control of traffic and parking of motor vehicles from time to time, as follows:

A. Red painted curbs shall indicate no parking at any time;

B. Yellow painted curbs shall indicate limited parking for specified purposes, such as loading, as further indicated by an appropriate official sign posted in a conspicuous place adjacent thereto;

C. Unpainted curbs shall indicate general parking, as further indicated and regulated by appropriate official signs posted adjacent thereto. (Ord. 538, 1971)
